BCS Hertfordshire regularly runs events at consistent venues within the county. This page contains information on our regular venues and locations.

Our use of these locations would not be possible without the generous support and assistance of the University of Hertfordshire and Sopra Steria.

BCS Hertfordshire strives to ensure that all of our events are fully accessible to all members of our community, including those who may require additional support. If you require additional information on any of our events or venues, or would like to discuss your support needs. Please contact the Secretary of BCS Hertfordshire via our contacts page.

Sopra Steria

Three Cherry Trees Lane, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, HP2 7AH

Sopra Steria have supported BCS Hertfordshire with the use of their public event and meeting room space since 2000. In addition to regular events, Sopra Steria has also hosted committee meetings on the site throughout this period.

The Hemel Hempstead venue is smaller and more intimate, making it perfect for discussions and symposiums. This does mean that places are more limited and as such booking is advised.

The Sopra Steria venue has parking for the disabled and is fully accessible via a ramp situated as part of the front entrance. The fully flexible event space is equipped with an Audio Induction Loop. AWC facilities are available within 15m of the venue.

Hemel Hempstead Station is served from Euston/Milton Keynes. From there take a taxi or H13 bus to Atlas Copco in Queensway near the end of Swallowdale Lane.

Important information for attendees

Sopra Steria close the car park gates outside office hours.

Should you arrive for an event and find the gates closed, you will have to ask the security staff to open the gate. To do this use the communications box mounted on a pole on the right hand side of the driveway. The box is equipped with a call-button and an intercom. Press the button and tell the security officer that you have come for the “BCS Hertfordshire meeting”.
