A Presidential View of the Society
John Ivinson
Immediate Past President of the British Computer Society
The recent successful petition of the Privy Council has changed the governance of the British Computer Society quite dramatically. We are now in a position to realise many of our ambitions that had up until now been denied us. John will discuss the changes and then address the question of what the future will hold for us as a professional society. He will be very happy to try and answer any other queries that the members of the Hertfordshire Branch may wish to pose.
John is a lively and experienced speaker. His presentation is bound to be of the greatest interest to all members, addressing as it does the current issues facing both the Society and the IT world in general.
