The Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) provides a common reference model for the identification of the skills needed to develop effective Information Systems (IS) making use of Information Communications Technologies (ICT). SFIA enables employers of IT professionals to carry out a range of HR activities against a common framework of reference – including skill audit, planning future skill requirements, development programmes, standardisation of job titles and functions, and resource allocation.
Terry is a staff member of e-skills UK, the UK Sector Skills Council for IT Telecoms. and Contact Centres. Sector Skills Councils are licensed by UK Government and have the mission to enhance UK productivity through skills development. e-skills UK is an employer led organisation.
With industry experience in Telecommunications and IT Terry is a widely experienced manager of technical staff and is familiar with the practical challenges facing front line industry managers.
