This session is particularly aimed at students and early professionals, but is open to all.

Join us for an engaging and accessible talk with Sunday Omolewu, who will explain how cloud technologies power many of the digital services and applications we use every day.

Synopsis

Cloud computing has become the foundation of many of the digital services we use every day, from online banking and video streaming to healthcare systems, educational platforms, and business applications. However, for those new to the technology, cloud computing can often seem complex, abstract, or difficult to understand.

In this talk, Sunday explores the fundamentals of cloud computing, using clear explanations and familiar examples to show how cloud technologies power the modern digital world.

• What cloud computing is and how it differs from traditional on-premises computing
• Everyday examples of cloud technology and how organisations use computing resources on demand

Speaker Profile

Sunday Omolewu is a Software Engineer at OIC Hub Ltd with practical experience designing and delivering secure, scalable software solutions using cloud and AI technologies.

His work spans software engineering, cloud-based systems, AI-driven applications, and digital innovation across sectors, including healthcare, education, and e-commerce.

He is passionate about helping students and professionals understand enterprise, artificial intelligence, and cloud technologies, and how they can be applied to solve real-world problems.
