Crypto For Investigators

The presentation covers Crypto buzzwords explained in English, the background to the emergence of cryptocurrency including how blockchains are structured and work (Bitcoin). Detective Constable Sean McElroy will cover encryption techniques, problems facing law enforcement in Crypto Investigations then finish off with the emergence of ALT coins and explanation of how they differ from Bitcoin.

About the Speaker
Detective Constable Sean McElroy has been a police officer for 23 years, Under Cover (UC) online since 2011. Principal UC on Paedophile, Drugs and Firearms operations. Set up Human Intelligence (HUMINT) unit at Barclays Chief Security Office 2017-2019.
